You don’t need money, don’t take fame, don’t need no credit card to ride this train—all you need is a wacky Huey Lewis-inspired pet name. As Courtney F., Nationwide member and dog mom to The News, puts it: “She’s the power of love—and she wasn’t a Huey Lewis.”
Like any great backing band, The News brings out the best in her people. This large mixed-breed dog is supportive and always hits the right note. “She cuddles hard,” Courtney says. “Squishes you back and nuzzles. She’s so fluffy!”
She also loves to party, like anyone with a Heart of Rock ‘N Roll within, and even sometimes winds up sleeping in some pretty rockstar places: “She likes to sleep in the bathtub,” Courtney adds.
Choosing the right pet name (wacky or otherwise) takes a lot of Heart and Soul, but Courtney has a sound system. Her advice: “If you pick something that gives your heart joy, the joy will come out every time you say it and that happiness is transferred to your buddy every time you call them.”
