More coverage for your cat than you’ll find anywhere else
With over four decades of experience protecting cats, we know that coverage counts. That’s why we offer the best coverage for the best value.
Protect your cat’s future
Having pet insurance for your cat isn't just about covering costs—it's about peace of mind. When your cat needs medical attention, the last thing you want to worry about is a hefty vet bill. Nationwide pet insurance can help you manage the costs so you can focus on getting the care your pet needs. Whether it's an unexpected accident or a sudden illness, your cat's health is our top priority. Choosing our pet insurance coverage allows your cat to get the care they need without putting financial strain on your family.
Managing vet treatment costs
Dealing with common pet health issues can hit your wallet hard. For instance, treating a simple ear infection can cost on average $250. If your cat breaks a bone, you could be looking at bills anywhere from $200 to $5,000, depending on the severity. Then there's stomach trouble — if your cat swallows something they shouldn't, surgery alone might set you back as much as $2,000.** With Nationwide's health insurance for cats, your focus is your pet's health, not the bills that come along with it.

What's not covered
While Nationwide cat insurance provides extensive coverage, there are a few things that aren't covered. Understanding your plan's limitations can help you and your family prepare for any potential out-of-pocket expenses and set an appropriate expectation for what your insurance plan covers. Nationwide pet insurance does not cover the following:
- Pre-existing conditions
- Waste disposal
- Boarding
- Grooming
- Expenses not directly related to veterinary services
We love our pets just as much as you do and we know that coverage limitations can be stressful. We work to keep our limitations to a minimum while also keeping your costs low. See a full list of exclusions or refer to your policy for further information.
